  • Sunlight: full/partial shade
  • Description: This tree is pyramidal to oval headed (in youth), often rounded in outline at maturity. It may be grown as either a single-stem tree or as a clump with more than one trunk.  The bark exfoliates into papery sheets exposing the inner bark which is salmon pink.  It has green leaves during the summer, changing to yellow in the fall.  This tree does well in wet areas, and is especially good for hot climates.
  • Size: 40'-70' tall and 40' - 60' spread when mature.
