  • Sunlight: full sun/partial shade
  • Description: The Mahonia is also known as an Oregon Grape Holly.  This is an evergreen plant with blue - green broadleaf foliage, that maintains the bluer color in the shade, but if planted in the sun it will have more yellow and reds in the leaf.  This is a tough plant, that lives quite easily.  It blooms early in the spring with yellow drupes of very fragrant flower, which will result in blue grape-like fruit that matures in the summer.  It can be used as an accent plant or a specimen.
  • Size: The mahonia will grow from 3'-9' tall with a 3'-5' spread. The size can be easily maintained by pruning.
